Stretching around 2,850 kilometres to the Black Sea, the Danube connects ten countries and just as many cultures, making it a truly special river for many of our guests. No wonder the Danube Cycle Path ranks among the continent's most popular long-distance cycle routes. The Southern Black Forest in all its variety

Donaueschingen was once the residence town of the Princes of Fürstenberg. The neo-Baroque palace with its park and the source of the Danube right next door are among the town's main sights. All around lies the Southern Black Forest Nature Park: at roughly 3,700 square kilometres, it is Germany's largest nature park. Denser coniferous forests, higher altitudes and proximity to France and Switzerland make the south of the Black Forest remarkably varied, in landscape and culture alike. Delightful destinations such as the Triberg Waterfalls, Lake Titisee and Freiburg are within easy reach.
